Important Notice for all members regarding the SGA Dress Code

• SGA has an extensive range of club kit items, which are specially designed and manufactured by Milano Pro Sport and Actif Wear.
• Initially a new gymnast may wear stretchy shorts, plain leggings, jogging bottoms gathered at the ankle with a close fitting t-shirt, top or a leotard.
• After attending the club for a term gymnasts are encouraged to purchase a club leotard or alternatively purchase a plain black leotard or in club colours (please ensure that this is a gymnastics leotard as the cut of some leotards is not appropriate for gymnastics (eg – too low cut at neck or too high cut at legs).   If a gymnasts wears a crop top this must be a crop top designed for gymnastics. Gymnasts will be required to wear the new club leotard or a black leotard / outfit for the SGA Christmas Display)
• Gymnasts in the development and competitive groups should only wear their specific group leotard occasionally to training to avoid discoloration as this is required for competitions. Please ensure your child has additional leotards to wear for training other than their development / competition group leotard. Please note the gymnasts in the national squads should not wear their competition leotard for training unless it is for a specific event.
• Please ensure your child does not wear the following items which present a potential hazard or are inappropriate for gymnastics. Baggy clothes, long trousers, anything with buttons, buckles, zips (other than zip hoodies / onesies for warm up), crop tops / shorts sets which are sold as underwear, spaghetti strap tops, low cut tops or crop tops which are not designed for gymnastics. Please also avoid leggings which are excessively patterned, plain leggings would be preferred.

The Half Term Holiday Gymnastics Camps are filling up fast however we still have a couple of places left on each camp.  The closing date is Sat 13th May 🙂

Please note that if you have already paid and sent in your booking form then your child’s place is booked in.

We have seen some fantastic work from the Newby School Early Birds Gymnasts over the last term.  The gymnasts were presented with their British Gymnastics Proficiency Awards today.  Well done to everyone! 🙂

The Early Birds gymnastics class runs for pupils at Newby School from Reception class age right through to year 6.  The classes take place at the school curling term time on Wednesdays 8-8.40am.

No experience Necessary! Come and join us to learn new skills, meet new friends and have lots of FUN!

Holiday Camps are also ideal for gymnasts on the waiting list to experience gymnastics at SGA and also gives the coaches a chance to assess for suitable classes.

If your child has not attended SGA before for any sessions and you are only booking for 1 or 2 sessions you do not need to pay the £7.00 temporary British Gymnastics Membership on this occasion as the camps will count as a trial period. If they have attended two or more sessions / camps at SGA before or previously been a member of British Gymnastics then the £7.00 will be payable.

SGA is now closed for the Easter Holidays and will reopen on Monday 24th April.

The SGA office is open on Thursdays 4-8pm. If you would like to speak to a member of the team please call 01723 366271 on a Thursday between 4.00 – 8.00pm (from Thursday 27th April). Alternatively you can email us at info@scarboroughgymnastics.co.uk and we will respond as soon as we can.

Just a reminder the the gym will be busy today.  To avoid any congestion in the car park it may be a good idea to park a short walk away from the gym if possible. 🙂

Emails have been sent out to children who have been on the waiting list since September 2016 & before with an offer of a place.  If you have not received an email please check your junk mail in case it has gone in there!

Places are already filling up fast and are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment!

Tickets are £1 and the draw will take place on Sat 8th April.  All winners will be contacted to collect their prizes next week. 

Priority Booking for current members closed on the 3rd April and places are now open to gymnasts on the waiting list.  If your child is a current member and you have not booked their place for next term please email to confirm if they would like their place,  and make payment before 4pm on Thursday 6th April.  After 4pm all places will be offered to gymnasts waiting for a place.  Many Thanks 🙂
