SGA at the Northern Qualifiers 2019

Congratulations  to each and every one of the gymnasts who took part at the northern Teamgym championships and British qualification event this weekend. Your hard work, commitment and determination has certainly paid off with the incredible results over the weekend. The club secured gold medals in four of the events, silver in the primary challenge event and just missed out on a medal in the youth micro event coming in 4th. Well done Guys you are all amazing 🥇🥇🥇 🥇🥈

We would also like to say big thank you to the amazing coaches who have prepared the gymnasts for the event. Also thankyou to the parents and supporters for their ongoing commitment and support. Everybody at the club is so proud of all the hard work and dedication that was put in from the gymnasts and coaching team to achieve these amazing results 🙌😄🏆🏆🏆

Thankyou to Barclays

SGA would like to say a huge thank you to Barclays Bank Matched fundraising for their kind donation towards the club’s new vaulting table.

The club has also been continually fundraising towards apparatus and raised enough at the the the Christmas displays to be able to purchase the new piece of equipment.

Everybody’s support is greatly appreciated 😄😄

Twinkles Pre School Gymnastics at SGA

Our Twinkles pre school gymnastics classes start back today. The coaches are looking forwards to seeing everyone for lots of gymnastics fun. This term we will be exploring a castle theme and towards the British Gymnastics Castle Fun badge and certificate.

Just to let everyone know that all the SGA members T-shirts’ have been ordered so should be with us in the next few weeks. If you have not let us know your child’s size please email to let us know before 11am on Monday 14th Jan and we can hopefully add to the order. 🙂🤸🏼‍♂️👕

SGA is now closed for the Christmas Holidays

All usual classes have now finished for 2019, classes will resume from 4pm on Monday 7th January.

There are just two important training sessions remaining for the competitive gymnasts who will be competing in next years British Qualifiers. The sessions are Mon 17th and Tuesday 18th December – 4-6pm for Primaries, 6-8pm for Youths and Juniors.

British Gymnastics Coaching Course to run at SGA

British Gymnastics are running a level 1 coaching qualification at SGA in 2019. There are still a few places if there are any gymnasts or parents are interested in getting involved in coaching at the club and taking their first official qualification with the help of the mentor coaches at SGA. Candidates must by 16 at the start of the course.

The course is cheaper with BG membership so if you haven’t got current membership you can join BG before booking on the course.
