PRE-SCHOOL gymnasts in Scarborough were proud as punch after receiving their end-of-term medals and certificates.

The youngsters, aged 18 months to four years, have been taking part in an early years scheme at Scarborough Gymnastics Academy in Barry’s Lane.

Activities included work on balance, co-ordination and actions with rhymes.

Coach Nikii Walker said: “They have all progressed well and really enjoyed it. The children were all so pleased and proud when they got their medals.”

Awards were given to Jacob Bland, Lottie Bland, Ffion Richards, Mia Gardener-Long, Annabelle Riley, Rory Brent, Jessica Hill, George Dickinson, Franklin Walters-Hardy, Evie-Mae Alonso (not pictured), Rebecca Strickland (not pictured), Lily-Mae Gascoyne, Maddy Barber, Lisa Brindle and Keera Turner.
